Every OneRepublic song ever helped me last year. I went through a very long period of depression for pretty much the entire year last year. Their songs reminded me to keep my head up, and remember that it's only temporary, things will always get better. I can never thank them enough for what they've done for me.

Anyway, that got a tad bit off topic. But, the song that always helps me is I Lived.

Music and Bands thaT HAVE been there for me range from Backstreet Boys to Evenescance to Pink to UVERworld to a variety. There has been so much music over the years I've listened to and that has had an impact on my life and still does to this day. Music is life to me. It speaks the human experience, it heals, it helps lift a wounded spirit, it really is magic.

When I was younger it was Demi Lovato. Now I actually like to listen to sad music when I'm down because then I feel like someone else understands. When I do want a feel-good song I like Happy by Pharrell Williams.

I have two singers who were there for me when I was depressed.

Emilie Autumn who I listened to constantly when I was knee deep in depression. She has bipolar and sings alot about depression and suicide among other things.

This is my fave song of hers

And here's a song of hers where I got some inspiration for my future last name (when i've transitioned it's the third/last name you see under my username), it's partly inspired by her song and also inspired because my favorite flower is the Rose especially the black rose which symbolizes transformation.

The second singer is Kerli who i listened to when I was coming out of my depression, she gave me that extra kick that got rid of it completely.

Fun fact about this song, it's not a romance song it's about air spirits that visited her when she was depressed, I actually asked her if that was the case in a comment and she liked it <3.
