After seeing what a supportive community this is, I happily donated a little to help keep this site running! For a while, I enjoyed navigating the forums ad-free, which is a nice bonus, and seems to help the pages load a tad faster.

However, I am definitely seeing a LOT of ads when accessing the forums on my Android tablet, and lately ads are also showing up from time-to-time when viewing from my PC, as well. Is that a "bug" or is it normal?

    Thanks!

I use tapatalk app when I'm on my phone. On my laptop, since I have eye issues I expand the screen and the only ad that's annoying is the banner but everything else is fine.

I'm a site supporter and I sometimes see ads when I use the site on my PC. It's a glitch unfortunately. :(  How are you accessing the site from your tablet? If you are using Tapatalk they have their own ads which aren't related to this site. Tapatalk is simply a chat application used by many online communities. I believe Tapatalk has its own subscription service to remove their ads but I don't really know much about it.

Well, at least it's not just me!

I'd never heard of Tapatalk before. As a rule, I use Google Chrome on all of my devices, but I tried the Samsung Internet Browser on my tablet this afternoon, and presto - no ads!

Perhaps Chrome just isn't as compatible with this website.

I'm glad the Samsung Internet Browser is working for you.

Try hitting Alt+Shift+Del in the Browser and Clear data (Cookies and cache) It will log you out of the websites you have logged in you have to relogin again. But it will remove old scripts and stuffs from your computer see if it helps. Like butterfly said it could be a site bug but since you mentioned about not seeing ads in the Samsung browser i think this would help. Also If you are using Mobile phone browser there would be an option to clear old data in the settings menu. Ads and script get stored in the local storage sometimes.

Unfortunately, this did not help. Worth a try, though; thanks!

Could you post a screenshot of the location you're seeing the ad? Sorry about this and thank you for making a donation.

No worries! Here is a screenshot taken from my Android tablet, while accessing the forums via Google Chrome:

I sometimes see pop-up ads that take up the entire screen, too. It may be an issue with Chrome in particular, though, as I do not seem to have this problem with the Samsung browser.

Hmmm... it's just on Android tablet, right? Do they appear on your phone also?

I haven't noticed any ads when viewing the forums on my phone, but I do see them occasionally when using the Chrome browser on my PC.

I’m seeing a lot of ads on my iPhone, I see top expanding banner and full page ads when clicking forum topics.
I paid a few hours ago and this may change but it must know I’m a supporter since it’s given me the badge.
I have not yet logged on via tablet or desktop yet though.
