Last night I did it, I told my mom and her reaction was ok, she accepted it but she didn’t really understand and she was questioning it and almost asking me if I was sure about it. I was so anxious and it feels like a relief to have actually told her.

They will have questions, of course, so do your best to be supportive of that. If they want to know more it means they are on their way to not only acceptance but understanding as well. Proud of you and I'm glad it went well :)

Parents can't help it: they always ask, "Are you sure?" Don't be surprised if it continues for a while -- when it comes as a surprise, it's hard for them to digest all at once -- but they do get used to the idea.

It feels good, though, to finally be able to tell them -- it's like dropping this big rock you were carrying around for years. Congratulation!
