I used to like board games.
But I don't really know enough people to play them with.

I have way too many boardgames. I'll take a stab at a top 5 in no particular order.

    1. Ticket to Ride
    2. Zombies
    3. Pirate Fluxx
    4. Takenoko
    5. Family Business

These are my most played games anyway which is probably much the same thing. Incidentally I got to play-test King of Tokyo with the designer in Essen in 2015 before it was published :)

This is going to be literally the most boring list ever constructed, and some of these are probably better classified as 'card games', even though they don't have cards.

    1. Go (igo/baduk/weiqi)
    2. Mahjong (not solitaire, the real deal- 3 or 5 fan anyone?)
    3. Scrabble
    4. Shougi ('Japanese chess')
    5. Chess

    I suck at chess too.

I also like to play scrabble. It becomes more fun when you make a drinking game out of it. One shot for every misspelled word. It usually involves a handful of games before it starts to heat up as the drink makes folks more likely to misspell sonething.

Jenga is fun especially if you are playing with either creative or engineering folks.

Yes, Scrabble is another fun one.

I have not played Jenga with creative people but that sounds like a good time too.

I love role-playing ^^ i play in 3 different session a week and we play lots of different systems.

As for board games, I have a friend that's a little addicted to buying them (he kickstarts ALOT of games).

Many are based around cuthulu, such as arkham horror. But if I had too pick a few:

    Catan
    Chess
    Monopoly
    Trivial pursuit
    Ticket to ride

Also an honorable mention to Magic the gathering, not a board game and that I've not played in a few years.

    ~Fiona.
